If you live on the wild side and play Texas Hold’Em or even any poker game in general then you probably might have heard of the most eccentric player in the Texas Hold’Em game today, Phil Hellmuth.

Phil Hellmuth has had numerous sightings in the World Series of Poker tournaments. In 1989 he won first place in the Championship even. That might seem an older accomplishment, but it soon led to so many more. In 1992, 1993, and even in 2003 he has taken first place in Limit Hold’Em tournaments. He had a very exciting year in 1993 because he took first place in three different events in which he competed against numerous amounts of people. These events included the Limit Hold’Em tournament and two wins in No-Limit Hold’Em. In the first season of World Series of Poker at the Lucky Chances event Phil Hellmuth placed fourth in the event. This event is against thousands of other competitors so it really is quite an achievement.

Phil Hellmuth has turned out to be a really great poker player, but every player has its starts. Phil Hellmuth was born on July 16, 1964, in Madison Wisconsin. Phil Hellmuth has the poker nickname of ‘Poker Brat’. He achieved that nickname during his play. In the end, I believe that even though he is known as the ‘Poker Brat’ that he uses what he says and what he does to throw off his opponent’s and even possibly get them on tilt, which is a very good strategy since players are more reckless and likely to lose when they are playing on tilt.

Phil Hellmuth has overall won eleven different bracelets so far in his poker career. As stated above in 1989 Phil Hellmuth took first place in the World Series of Poker Championship Tournament. In 1992 he has won a bracelet in the $5,000 Limit Hold’Em tournament. In 1993 he has had several bracelets they are as follows, $1,500 No-Limit Hold’Em, $2,500 No-Limit Hold’Em, and $5,000 Limit Hold’Em. In 1997 he won a bracelet for a $3,000 Pot-Limit Hold’Em tournament. In 2001 he won a $2,000 No-Limit Hold’Em tournament, and in 2003 he won the bracelet for winning the $2,500 Limit Hold’Em. Also in 2003, he won the bracelet for $3,000 No-Limit Hold’Em.

Phil Hellmuth also has a career in poker outside of the poker table. He has made several videos for instructing people on how to play poker, and their tips and strategies. A couple of these videos include, ‘Ultimate White to Black Belt Course’ and ‘Phil Hellmuth’s Million Dollar Poker System’. Along with these videos, he has written several well-written articles for a magazine known as Card-player. He has also has authored several book titles.

Phil Hellmuth has an amazing career both on the poker table, and off the poker table. He is a great poker player although he has a brat side to him he works and molds it in the right way as to throw his opponents off their game. Phil Hellmuth is an amazing player and one that doesn’t get a lot of credit for the good he does. Let the brat live on.
